The microwave works OK, but the platter makes bumping/grinding sounds when you put something on that weighs more than a few ounces. Given how it sounds, I don't expect it to last very long

We really are enjoying this microwave. Unlike our previous microwave the glass plate stays put. It heats up food really fast. We have it for 3 weeks and use it every day- so far so good.

We selected this microwave because it fits in the space and it was the same as the previous microwave that was in the house when we bought it. I would have given it 5 stars but the button to open door is stiff and the door seems a little light

Don't get if you have eyesight problems -- the words on the display panel are difficult to read and I find myself shifting my head to try and get the best angle/reflection of light to read them - sometimes I have to get a flashlight - otherwise it works as described and I like the stainless finish.

Others have noted that the door is noisy. That's true but, it's just an annoyance rather than a major inconvenience. A quieter action on the door would be a nice improvement though. My unit is located in a darker area of my kitchen. A lighted keypad would be very helpful. The interior light flickers when an item is placed on the turntable. I don't know if this is normal but it is disconcerting and GE customer service hasn't been helpful in answering this problem. Even so, I love the convenience features which were not available on my previous unit which was over 30 years old. I hope the longevity is as good.

The oven works fine so far, and the only complaint I might have is the fact that the grey-on-black function keys are impossible to read without a bright light behind you. This same design quirk is pretty common among electrical appliances, though, so apparently a lot of people must like it.

Nice basic microwave with stainless steel front but top and sides are some other material and look awful. Smudges that cannot be removed. Since this us a countertop model it is quite disappointing.

Microwave works well and looks modern and attractive. Personally, I would have liked the entire microwave to be the stainless steel, however, the top and sides are a blue color. You don't notice if looking straight on. Not sure why this was done. Also one epic fail is the keypad does not light up so at night you need additional lighting to see what you are doing. Overall great price point and it is GE so should last.
